Columnist Dr Hermione Winkell examines the Parore-Ridge court case
I don’t usually follow celebrity break-up stories, but I can’t help but comment on the reporting of Sally Ridge’s legal battle with ex-partner Adam Parore.
The media coverage of this story has been nothing short of disgraceful.
Why are we not being told what Sally wore when she had her day in court?
What did she have for breakfast, and can we have the recipe? Or did she eat at a café? If so, which one was it?
And what of her ex? What model of car does Adam drive? What sort of designer furniture has he adorned his home with?
I am aware of the disdain some people have for socialites like Ridge or Parore. But far from being attention-seeking vampires, or a celebrity axis of evil, these two really matter. They are better looking than the rest of us, and their tastes in fashion, houses, food and wine are far superior to our own.
That’s why I don’t really care who said what in court. That’s not the real story here. The real story is who designed the outfit Sally Ridge wore in court, and where she will go on her next holiday.
Why are we not being told these things? Is this another example of MSM bias?
