I am pleased to announce the launch of a new blogsite catering for those who want something more than the fare currently being offered by left-leaning sites like The Daily Blog and The Standard.

I have heard a lot of complaints about those blogs over the years from people on the left, so I have decided to do something about it. That’s why I’m delighted to announce the launch of a brand new blogsite, called Imperator Fish.*

Imperator Fish will be a collaborative blog featuring a wide range of contributors. Almost all of those contributors will be fictional persons. But what is Imperator Fish really about? For example, where do I sit on the political spectrum? I like to think I’m a moderate who is left of centre and who secretly harbours extreme reactionary right wing opinions but doesn’t want his friends to find out. I can’t promise to always be ideologically consistent in what I write, but I promise to at least try to conceal my true sexist, misogynist, racist, homophobic nature. I really am a truly horrible and hate-filled person, but please don’t tell anyone.

I don’t want to become a divisive and disagreeable voice on the left, the way The Daily Blog has become. To avoid such an occurrence, I intend to silence all discussion regarding this site. The aim is to make Imperator Fish a place of calm and serene reflection, rather than name-calling and shouting. I will do so by removing all possibility of debate on the site with any person. Comments have been disabled on all posts, and all attempts to contact me (via email, social media or otherwise) will be either ignored or treated as a hostile act justifying extreme measures. By reading the material on this blogsite, you agree that I will not be liable to you for any injury or damage to persons or property arising as a result of your comments about my work. You must not read any further material on this site if you do not agree to release me from any and all liability arising from my cutting your brake lines or slashing your car tyres. Are you still reading this? Good. That means you have now consented. That’s what we lawyers call a contract, which means it’s legit and you’re bound legally. I have trapped you, and now I own you.

Imperator Fish will provide a new and fresh voice on the left, while at the same time seeking utu against all the people who have wronged me. I have a very long list of people to strike back at, so come along and enjoy the ride!

* Just a quick note to those of you who have been accustomed to visiting my old blogsite, also (coincidentally) called Imperator Fish. I am using the same name, the same URL, and the same blog design, and I have not removed any of the old posts, but that site is otherwise dead and buried.
