I know a lot of my readers will be concerned about the legal peril the former US President now finds himself in.
There is growing speculation that Donald Trump will soon be charged over his retention of classified government documents. He is also being investigated by multiple agencies in connection with various personal or business dealings.
But I’m here to tell you there’s nothing to worry about. Don’t trouble yourself over his future. He’ll be okay.
The man has spent his entire life doing exactly as he pleases, and no-one has ever managed to hold him to account. So why would it happen now?
You don’t need to lose a single night’s sleep over the former President. Donald Trump will be just fine.
So what if they finally manage to nail his arse over one of the many things he is under investigation for? He’ll never serve a day’s time. And the next Republican President will just pardon him.
But what about state crimes, I hear you say. You are correct that a Presidential pardon only works against federal crimes. Well, there’s a solution there too. It’s called the Supreme Court. They owe him. He made half of them.
So you don’t need to worry at all!
There are also plenty of patsies ready to take a hit for Trump. Look how many of his associates have already been convicted or jailed. His lawyer, his former campaign chair, his former campaign deputy chair, the CFO of the Trump Organisation, and many others. Often for doing Trump’s work. But never Trump himself. Can’t you see the pattern here? If a price has to be paid, it’ll be paid by others.
There’s no need to panic, to blame the media or accuse Trump’s opponents of engaging in a partisan witch-hunt. Why get so worked up over something as trivial as whether the former US President is subject to the law? Of course he isn’t!
But if that’s still not enough to convince you, then you would do well to remember the Golden Rule. “He who has the gold makes the rules.” Even if Donald Trump is charged qwit5h rump’s wealth will shield him from any real consequences.
A famous man once said: “when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.”
He wasn’t wrong.
