Labour have been reminding the electorate that John Key is a rich prick since he became leader of the National Party back in 2006. That’s ten years.

And how has that been working for Labour? Not well, if the polls are anything to go by. Not well at all.

We have probably all heard the saying attributed (probably falsely) to Albert Einstein: “the definition of insanity is doing something over and over again and expecting different results.”

That absolutely isn’t the case here. Sometimes it just takes time to change the minds of voters. I reckon the public will come round to Labour’s way of thinking in another ten or twenty years.

So let’s not lose faith with this winning strategy just yet. Be patient, people. We have to stay the course!
